PickMyWash processes personal data primarily to fulfil orders in India’s commercial environment. Operational partners (pickup associates, laundering facilities, PSPs for payments, cloud infra, analytics/backoffice tools) typically act as instructed processors/service providers only for defined tasks.

Personal data collected
- Account & identity: name, validated phone via OTP, optional email/profile attributes you supply.
- Location & addresses: saved pickup/delivery lines, locality text, inferred pincode, approximate device geolocation snapshots when permitted for verifying service coverage polygons / pincode whitelist.
- Transactional: service selections (wash & fold, dry clean tiers, footwear pairs, linens, etc.), schedule slots, weight measurements logged after QC, SKU-style itemisation, pricing artefacts, cancellations, reschedule history.
- Communications: support ticket bodies, moderation notes internally, transactional push notification tokens tied to UID.
- Technical diagnostics: device model, coarse app version telemetry, Crashlytics / analytics events for reliability (no biometric payment card numbers stored locally by us).
Purposes / lawful justification (commercial necessity)
- Contract performance: quoting, allocating partners, SLA tracking, COD settlement visibility.
- Legitimate operational interests: profiling fraud risk, enforcing zone eligibility, enforcing abuse controls.

Recipients & transfers
We disclose only minimally necessary subsets to fulfil your order logistics and maintenance of secure infrastructure (Google Firebase / GCP region hosting, PSP acquirers, optional SMS gateways, mapping reverse geocoder usage). Domestic transfers presumed; offshore subprocessors subject to SCC-equivalent safeguards as vendor contracts articulate.
We do not sell your personal information to unrelated data brokers.
Retention
- Active customer profile & order history: duration of legitimate account lifecycle + limited backup cycles.
- Finance / reconciliation: invoice-grade metadata often 5–8 years aligning tax preservation norms unless shorter legally acceptable.
- Anonymised analytics: may persist indefinitely when irreversibly aggregated.
Security measures
Firestore security rules segregation by UID principal, HTTPS callables enforcing auth.uid, Crashlytics de-identification best efforts, rotating admin dashboards — yet no transmission/storage method is unconditionally invulnerable.
Your rights (India-aligned)
- Access / correction reasonably requested via support email verifying UID ownership.
- Withdraw marketing consent without affecting prior lawful processing legitimacy.
- Delete account artefacts per Account Deletion respecting statutory carve-outs preserving minimal financial records.
- Nominate authorised representative escalation with notarisation if materially complex.
Cookies / trackers on web previews
If you browse marketing microsites mirrored from Hosting, ephemeral session cookies minimal; Firebase Analytics analogous device identifiers in native client subject to vendor policies.
Children
Not directed toward users under contractual incapacity thresholds; guardians must authorise dependents’ accounts responsibly.
Updates
Material alterations posted with refreshed effective dates; substantive collection expansion may require renewed consent overlays in-app banners.
